My rendition of Callandor, the crystal "sword" Rand finds in the Heart of the Stone of Tear, in Robert Jordan's "The Dragon Reborn", Book 3 of the Wheel of Time saga.

This object is just one element in a piece I'm submitting for Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time Calendar this year, you can see the scene I'll be using this sword in here :

Aye, it was a real challenge to make the sword emit light, but not wash out it's glassiness... I don't even know if I could do it again!

Even if the voices aren't real they have some good ideas...

Thank you so much! It was actually much harder to make Callandor "realistic" using photons and physically accurate materials... Took awhile to make the glow seem correct without washing out the glassy/crystalline look.

I'm glad you like it!
