Calm Horizons - OBLIVION

Inspired by a masterpiece of science fiction, Stephen R. Donaldson's "Gap Cycle".

This is an Amnion warship, "Calm Horizons". The scene is from the fourth book, "The Gap into Madness : Chaos and Order".

I recently re-worked this scene for a client, and although he didn't like this particular version I really enjoyed it, and thought I'd share it with you! Modeling done with Amorphium and Bryce, and rendered in multiple layers in Bryce. Composited in Photoshop, with numerous filters and post-effects. The space effects are done with Flaming Pear filters (mostly) and with Universe filters.
