He is greatly and sorely missed, as is the final book for his series entitled "A Memory of Light", which he left unfinished and has since been taken up by his wife and Brandon Sanderson, a prolific fantasy author and friend.
I have the honor of having been selected by a panel of judges and finally by Mr. Jordan himself, just days before he died. I'm not certain (after all the silliness with the publisher) if I can legally display my winning entry, as I believe they now own that image, but I do know they don't own Maya, or my Maya scene file, or any of my massive texture files, or any of that...!
So I thought I'd share with anyone interested two examples of this scene and how it was heading, prior to finalizing the render for the calendar people...
